Shard is built so your notes stay yours. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your data — which is almost nothing.
The app collects no personal data
Shard has no account system and no servers of its own. Everything you capture — notes and tasks — is written directly into your own Obsidian vault (on your device, iCloud Drive, or Obsidian Sync, depending on your setup). Your content never passes through us and is never sent anywhere we control.
No tracking in the app
The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. It does not profile you or your usage.
This website
odshard.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It records anonymous, aggregate page-view counts only. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint you, and cannot identify individual visitors.
